GPJW JR. PW City Champs 'SWAA RAVENS'posted by Smitty email: smitty0010@hotmail.comJacksonville, Florida 10-30-2007 There Can Be Only One -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the GJPW city championship Jr. PW div......the SWAA Ravens came away victorious over a very good GPAA Seminoles team. The Ravens were able to score first going up 8-0, the Noles were able to answer with 6 points. The game went into halftime 8-6. The game showed a lot of great defense for both teams in the first half. In the second half, the Ravens were able to take control of the game scoring 26 unaswered in the second half, to come away with the 34-6 victory. I would like to first say to the GPAA Noles (their coaching staff, players and association).....You all done excellent job with that team. That team will be scary for the next few years. I am sure that a lot of those kids will be back next season at JPW and if that is the case......GJPW will need to be put on notice. You all are a class organization and the rivalry between GPAA and SWAA is great for both associations, the city and GJPW. SWAA Ravens coaching staff was able to accomplish their first goal in their quest to make it to Disney. The coaches put in the correct gameplan to give the kids the best opportunity to be succesful. The kids took that gameplan and executed the best way a 9-11 year old could do. For a long time SWAA was considered a big boy (Jr. Mid & Mid) park. The association never had any post season success in the lower levels (Jr. PW & PW) untill this season. This is the first time that they have won the City Championship at any of these two levels. Congrats to all the kids, coaches and parents who made this season truly special. Next up for the Ravens......is the Mid-Florida Champion. I would also like to congratulate the other 'City Champions' MIDGET- LSAA RAIDERS JR. MIDGET- MAA TIGERS PEE WEE- GPAA TROJANS Good luck to you all and lets bring back 4 D-I National Titles back to Jacksonville. |

The Pacific Northwest Region Pop Warnerposted by O.G. Ball Coach email: cme4ins@aol.comO.G. Ball Coach 11-15-2007 Regional Championship Time! The conference Championship games have come and gone some were competitive while others were, well shall I say, one sided.
The Eastbay West Wranglers made quick work of our over matched OG Rebels, with a 31 0 victory. This came as no surprise, as this team has rolled every opponent this year with 333 points scored and only 3 points scored against them. And trust, when I tell you they did not have to give up the 3 points. Yes, they are that good; this team absolutely may have the best chance out of our Region to win the National Championship. However, they must first get past the Redwood Empire Conference Champion, San Francisco Brown Bombers that are habitually a fast and physical team. The Bombers are 9-1, losing the first game of the season to Fairfield Falcons in a c lose one, only to come back and destroy the Fairfield Falcons 31-6 in the Championship game. They are the same team as they were at the beginning of the year, but neither is EBW. This game will be a game of speed, with both teams having tons of skill set players. Eastbay should beware of the passing game and SF should be aware of the run. The Bombers may have trouble working all the kids in as they have 35, not an easy task to manage. The game will come down to the team with the best offensive blocking and for that I say, Eastbay should win this one big. Pee Wee: The Oak Grove Red Dawgs pulled out another close one, this time against a very game and strong Redwood City 49ers 12-8. This game swung back and forth at the end like the door to the barn. Both defenses made it very difficult for the other to move the ball, I have said it, all the teams in this division were very strong offensively. Redwood Citys running back was as good as any I have seen at this level, he simply carried his team both on offense and defense. However, when their backs were against the wall let in the contest, the Dawgs did what champions do, they didnt panic they came back with a game winning drive to put the game away. This week they face a very athletic and fast San Francisco Bombers team that will try to put up points. The Bombers similar to their Jr. Pee Wees dropped an early game but have been on fire since and ended 9-1 after beating San Marin 32-12. The two teams scrimmaged prior to Jamboree, but this is the real deal now. Like I said, the Dawgs have been stingy all year and for that reason I believe the Dawgs will be on the big bus in the sky. Jr. Midget: I knew this would be a close game, I actually suggested it would come down to overtime. That almost happened but West Valley 10-1, whom I doubted all year, put up two scores late in the game to knock off who many thought were the best our region had to offer at this level. Santa Clara moved the ball but West Valleys defense was able to bend without breaking. This was a defensive battle all the way with West Valley Falcons pulling out a great victory 16-0. Vallejo Raiders 10-0 will represent the Redwood Empire Conference after beating a game San Francisco Bomber team 30-16. If my memory serves me right, two years ago, Vallejo represented the Region at Nationals and last year lost to EBW at pee wee. I guess what I am trying to say, is this bunch has been in big games before and will bring fast big talent to the table. This match up will be one of speed vs. discipline and technique. In years past, Vallejo has run the double wing without the pulling of the guards and tackles, relying more on the misdirection. While, WVF will run the double wing like it was diagramed in a text book. Although West Valley has scored plenty of points at 307, I think it will be a low scoring game. This one is a toss up.
Oak Grove Roughriders beat Santa Clara 28-0 in the Championship game. It was a nice display of power football. San Francisco Jr. 49ers will again, for the third time in the row represent the Redwood Empire Conference after an dominant performance against last years Regional runner up, San Francisco Seahawks 20-0. The 49ers have plenty of speed and size, enough to run around and away from all their opponents all year to a perfect record of 10-0. The winner will match up the following week against Alaska. The only level playing this week at division 1 is the midgets; the other games will be played next weekend.
JP: Hollister Vikings 11-0 vs. Vacaville Bengals 9-1 Sunnyvale lost to Tri Cities at midgets but Tri Cities were disqualified for ineligible player, so Sunnyvale was move back in regionals. Not certain I agree with that, would think that American Canyon would have been given a bye. Just my opinion. Anyways, I say congratulations and good luck to all. |

East Bay Warriors, Class Organization located in Oposted by levae email: levae@levae.comLevae 4-11-2007 2006 Message from the President Thank You for the 2006 season! On behalf of the Board of Directors and the East Bay Warriors Family THANK YOU to all the children, parents, coaches, staff, and fans for another wonderful season. We had a trying year through the grace of GOD we were able to complete another successful season on and off the field. A BIG THANKS go out to all the coaches, business managers, staff, board members, volunteers, and sponsors. Building A Nation Through Every Child. Again thanks for being such an outstanding community member. We had a great season on and off the field while reaching over 420 children with 9 football & 5 cheer teams, and over 110 volunteers in 2006. I will give you the scholastic information on our program at the East Bay Warriors Banquet, February 24, 2007, please see the attached letter regarding the banquet and come out. (Seating will be limited) On the field we at East Bay had it's best year since it's inception with five (5) teams making it to the Regional Championships, while four (4) of those teams moving on to the Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer & Dance Championships at Disney World in Orlando Fl. CONGRATULATIONS
Peninsula Pop Warner Division 1 Champions We added the Tiny Mite Wanderers, and if you missed any of their games, oh boy you must check them out in 2007 along with the new TM team The Wheels. Both Mighty Mites football teams were invited to a bowl games (War Eagles, & War Hawks) and did very well in Sunnyvale. Also, Pop Warner does not allow you to post scores and they don't let you post records, however I can tell you no team scored more than the War Eagles in any game all season long. The Mighty Mite War Hawks cheer had a great season and at the start of the season we had to break them out to start a Tiny Mite Wanderers squad as well. Thanks Lori, Julia & Erica for stepping up big time. At East Bay we are steady working to hold up the honor of Oakland to be the best youth program in the nation on and off the field. So I'm asking for your help in 2007 we have coaching and staff needs as well as board openings, please call me 510-869-4760 or e-mail (ebwarriors@yahoo.com) if you really want to WORK so we can discuss and make this an even better program for our children. We Need Your Help (Calling All Adults and Teenagers to help Build Our Cheer Program With or With Out Experience)
